CROC Conditioning Camp Registration is OPEN!

    Good morning, CROC Families!

We FINALLY got the green light from our Coles Crossing HOA board yesterday for our Crocs Conditioning Camp scheduled to begin on Monday!  We have been working hard to get the online registration ready (thank you, Glen!) and it is now LIVE!  There is a link in the upper right on the team website where you can click and register... it says 'Crocs Camp Registration is Open'.

There are a lot of specifics due to the current Covid situation that you need to know so please read all the way through before you head over to the website to register your swimmer(s)...

    1. Cost is $100 per swimmer and camp dates are 7/13-8/8.

    2. Final schedule is TBD.  The team is allowed access to the pool until 10:30 am each day (except for Tuesday) and we are only allowed 12 swimmers in the pool at time (2 per lane) so until we have all of the names & ages of the kids, we can't finalize the specific times slots.  We are tentatively planning to practice between 7:30 and 10:30 on alternating days with the likelihood of the younger swimmers having the earliest time slot. We are hoping to have the schedule ready to share by Saturday (or as soon as the camp fills up).

    3. Speaking of filling up... we are hoping to accommodate all those interested but we will have limited capacity so we will be operating on a first come, first served basis and will be using time stamps for registration if necessary.

    4. Due to USA Swimming guidelines regarding Covid, all swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards without stopping for extended rest at the turn. The official guidelines stipulate that there can only be two swimmers per lane and that they can only stop at opposite ends of the pool. This is the reason that they must continue forward progress to stay appropriately spaced from their lane mate. If your child is unable to meet this standard, he or she will not be able to participate. (If you have questions or concerns about this, please reach out to Coach French at [email protected]) In addition, no coaches or older swimmers will be allowed in the water with the swimmers so each child much be proficient in their swim skills.

    5. All participants will be required to provide a signed Coles Crossing Pool Use waiver form to participate. Waivers can be completed online at https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5ec922cfa60e1/we... You must complete the waiver, print it, and bring it with you to the pool on the first day of practice to be allowed to participate.

    6.  No parents or siblings will be allowed inside the gates of the pool during practice. Swimmers must be dropped off and picked up within 5 minutes before and after practice to ensure proper distancing.  Gates for entry and exit will be marked and there will be spaces on the sidewalk marked for those waiting to enter before practice.

    7. Restroom use will be discouraged so swimmers will need to go at home before they come if at all possible.

    8. We will need two parents per time slot to stay and be our 'Covid Rangers'.  Their job will be to make sure that all safety protocols are being followed with regard to entry, exit, proper spacing, etc.  I will be creating a SignUp Genius to send out this weekend so please stay tuned for that.

    9. Only returning Croc swimmers may register for the camp.

    9. Unfortunately another Covid casualty due to our insurance policy is that only residents of Coles Crossing may participate in the camp (even if you have been a team member in past years).

    10.  If the camp must be cancelled for any reason, we will give prorated refunds.

We are all very excited about being able to offer this to our Croc swimmers.  We all need a little sunshine and normalcy in our lives right now!  Please let me know if you have any questions... I know this is a lot of information and regulations!  I look forward to seeing many of you soon.  Can't wait to CROC IT UP!
