CROC Time Trial Meet Info- PLEASE READ!

Tomorrow is the big day! Time Trials is the official kick off of our 2021 swim season! Here is all the information you need to know.
GEAR HANDOUT THIS AFTERNOON- We will be handing out team shirts and customized towels (if you ordered them) today at the lap pool from 4:30-6. Keep an eye out for an email from Coach French about the Green v. Black meet format but I heard that the team who has the most families pick up their gear today will get a 25 point bonus!! If you can't make it today, you can also have a friend or neighbor pick up for you.
MORNING SETUP/PARKING- The gates are usually unlocked about 6 am if you'd like to come set up your tent early. The 'front row' area above the retaining wall on the non-block end of the pool is reserved for diamond and platinum sponsor tents. Also there is no set up allowed on any paved area around the pool. Grassy areas are fine inside and outside the gate area. There will be plenty of room tomorrow since we don't have a visiting team to share space with. The pool parking lot will only be open for drop offs until 7:30 so please keep that in mind. Parking in Sampson back lot is easiest. Please observe all NO PARKING signs on Coles Crossing Drive. We need to be courteous to our non-Croc neighbors.
MANDATORY CIRCLE IN BY 7:30 AM- All swimmers MUST circle in by 7:30 tomorrow morning at the lap pool. The circle-in boards will be hanging on the fence by the front gate. Swimmers can circle their name (bring a pen or sharpie) or we can have a volunteer circle your name for you. If a swimmer's name is not circled, the clerk of course assumes they are not there and they will be scratched from the meet. We will not have number writers this year but finding your swimmers event numbers is super easy. If you go to the home tab on the team website & click on 'meet entry' (even though it says it's closed), it will have a list of the event #s that your child is swimming. It is very helpful to write their event numbers on their arm with a sharpie (and maybe yours too!) so they can listen for their events and know when to go to the ready bench to line up. The ready bench area will be in a different location this year... under the pergola!
WARM-UPS will begin at 7:45 and they are mandatory for all swimmers. We will practice team cheers once warmups are done and then we will start the meet.
WEATHER- Weather looks great for tomorrow but it will be warm so bring plenty of sunscreen and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN- There will be leads in each area verifying that their volunteers are there. If you have any questions about where you are supposed to be, look for me (LeAnne) and ask someone if you don't know what I look like :) Our official Volunteer Coordinator will not be at the meet tomorrow.
CONCESSIONS- This year we will be accepting cash AND credit cards for concessions! We will only have prepackaged items for this meet but we will also have some yummy food trucks as well including Smart Drinks, Bahama Bucks & Baked Not Fried (a new one!)
SAFETY CONCERNS- We will have hand sanitizer available around the pool area and masks if needed. Bathrooms will be sanitized regularly during the meet as well. Please be courteous and try to allow plenty of distance between yourself and others.
CHECKLIST for what you should bring: swimmers!!, suits, goggles, caps, sunscreen, water, a sharpie, towels, tent, chairs, food/snacks (or you can buy them!) & LOTS of patience!! We have been 'out of the pool' for two years and have LOTS of new families on the team. We have lots of changes to the meet setup and format so PLEASE remember that we are all volunteers and want everything to run as smoothly and quickly as possible but there will be some hiccups along the way.
