CROCS Pep Rally, Senior Jump & HOME Meet v. Northpointe
Tomorrow is one of the most fun Croc events of the year... the Senior Jump! We will be celebrating our Croc seniors with a jump off the blocks in their graduation gowns. You don't want to miss it! It will take place at 8 am immediately following the visiting team warm up. Bring your cameras and your Croc spirit! After the jump, we will kick off our meet against the Northpointe Shockwaves. Below is all the information you need to know so please read all the way through...
PEP RALLY- Pep rally officially begins at 6:00 with pizza and drinks for purchase along with swimming and games.
MORNING SETUP/PARKING- The gates will open just after 6 once the set up crew has a chance to get into the pool area. The circle drive will only be open until 7:30 so if you'd like to drive through and drop off your gear, make sure you are there before then. After that, the visiting team is setting up and it's not safe to have traffic in the parking lot. Parking in Sampson lot is easiest. Please observe all NO PARKING signs on Coles Crossing Drive. We need to be courteous to our non-Croc neighbors.
The 'front row' area above the retaining wall on the non-block end of the pool is reserved for diamond and platinum sponsor tents. Also there is no set up allowed on any paved area around the pool. The area outside of the gates is reserved for the visiting team so please set up inside the gated area.
WARM-UPS for our team will begin at 7:00 and they are also mandatory for all swimmers.
MANDATORY CIRCLE IN BY 7:15 AM- All swimmers MUST circle in by 7:15 tomorrow morning at the lap pool. The circle in boards will be hanging on the fence by the front gate. Swimmers need to find their name and circle it (or have our volunteer do so) so we know they are there. If a swimmer's name is not circled, the clerk of course assumes they are not there and they will be scratched from the meet.
WEATHER- Weather will be sunny & HOT tomorrow so bring plenty of sunscreen and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN- Check in with the lead in your specific area. Our volunteer coordinator will be checking various areas throughout the day. If an emergency arises before tomorrow morning and you are unable to cover the shift you signed up for, you are responsible for finding someone to cover your shift & notifying the volunteer coordinator. If you have questions about your ‘job description’, there is a document section on the team website with explicit descriptions for each job. If you need assistance on Saturday, our volunteer coordinator can be found in the blue tent near the lane rope reel.
CONCESSIONS- We will have donuts, breakfast tacos & fresh fruit for breakfast. We will have burgers, hot dogs, pasta and pizza along with an array of snacks and candy along with water, Gatorade and sodas. We will be accepting cash & credit cards ($5 minimum). We will have the Smart Drinks truck there in the morning with coffee, tea & smoothies and Bahama Bucks will be there a little bit later.
