First of all, I hope everyone is doing alright following Thursday's storm and hopefully everyone has gotten power back (or that it happens real soon).  I've got several important pieces of information that I wanted to get out to the team.  

1.  After discussion with the coaches, our team board, and Towne Lake representatives, we have made the decision to cancel the postponed meet from Saturday.  As many families in both neighborhoods were still without power earlier today, we felt there was too many logistical challenges with trying to schedule and secure volunteers to facilitate a makeup meet during the week.  

2.  Thankfully, we had no major issues with our pool, so were able to resume practice today.  Since CFISD will be closed again tomorrow, Coach French is planning for the same practice schedule tomorrow as we had today.  

3:15-4:05pm: 11&ups (combined 11-14 and high school group)

4:10-4:45pm: 6 & unders

4:45-5:30pm: 7-8 group

5:30-6:15pm: 9-10 group

3.  We will have our next dual meet on Saturday against Northpointe.  The meet signup is currently open.  Reminder that deadline is Tuesday at midnight, so please RSVP as soon as possible.  

4.  Our mid-season invitational (Summer Thunder) is coming up in about 2 weeks (Sunday, June 2nd and Monday, June 3rd).  10 and under swimmers will compete on Sunday.  11 and up swimmers will compete most events on Monday (NOTE:  the 100 free and 100 IM for 11&up swimmers will be held on Sunday).  To enter this meet, your swimmer must have achieved qualifying times in the events they wish to enter.  There is also a $9 fee PER INDIVIDUAL EVENT (the team covers cost of the relays).  This can be paid via Zelle or cash/check to our treasurer.  The meet announcement and qualifying times are listed under the event on the schedule portion of our website.  DEADLINE for this meet will be THIS SATURDAY at 4pm, as we must finalize our entries and relays to submit on Sunday.  If your swimmer qualifies at Saturday's meet, you will need to sign up right after the meet is finalized and times are posted.
