Crocs!

This Saturday we swim at Bridgeland in a competitive matchup between undefeated teams.  We are the two largest teams in the division, so we will be starting at 8am this week to help finish earlier.

Reminder:  There is NO pep rally this week.  

The Bridgeland pool address is 16902 Bridgeland Landing, Cypress, TX 77433.  They ask that we park in designated areas only.  Parking and setup maps are available here:  https://bbst.swimtopia.com/visiting-teams

Do NOT park in any areas marked in red, as your vehicle may be towed if it is parked there.  Please only park on one side of the street.  Do not park within 15 feet of fire hydrants, 20 feet of a crosswalk or intersection, or within 30 feet of a stop sign — these are all standard Texas laws and subdivision requirements.

Team setup area is located to the left of the pool and to the west on the other side of the parking area.  The dock area, tennis courts, back swimming pool area and splash pad are off limits.

Concessions:  Chick-Fil-A will be on site for breakfast/lunch and Bahama Bucks will have a truck as well.  They have limited concessions selling snacks, drinks, and Russo’s Pizza.

CIRCLE IN BY 7:00 AM:  With the earlier meet start, we need everyone to circle in earlier this week so the coaches can work with the computer team before the start of the meet.  Be on the lookout for our team circle in boards near our team setup area.  If you are running late, please phone a friend and have them circle your swimmers in.

TEAM WARM-UPS will begin at 7:15am this week.  They are required for all swimmers — this is a good chance for new swimmers to get familiar with the visiting team’s pool and setup.  As visiting team, we warm up second and then congregate in our team area for cheers before starting the meet.

RELAY ETIQUETTE:  If your swimmer is in a relay at the end of the meet, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE EARLY.  If you do, you will be letting down the other 3 swimmers not the relay team who will have to scratch with you.  If you must leave early, TELL THE COACHES before you leave — they can identify a replacement and substitute them in, so the relay can still compete.

WEATHER:  The forecast for Saturday is not great with a mix of showers and scattered thunderstorms and highs of 84.  Please plan for some rain.  The meet referee and team reps will evaluate the weather and call any delays in the event of lightning in the area.  Typically, meets will continue in light rain with no lightning.

VOLUNTEERS:  We do not have a common volunteer check in area for our team.  Listen for shift change announcement at event 42.  Please do not leave early.Officials meeting will be at 7:20am.  Timers and scribes meeting will be held at 7:45am on pool deck.  Our volunteer coordinator, Alexis Dempsey, will be present in the morning and at shift change.  If you have a problem or you are unable to fulfill your shift due to an emergency or illness, please contact Alexis at 713-306-2404.

TIMELINE:  I have attached an ESTIMATED timeline for your general information.  Please note this may shift based on swimmer scratches in the morning and the meet can run slower or faster than anticipated.  Swimmer heats/lanes may also change following the morning scratch meeting, so make sure to double check in the apps.
