IMPORTANT MEET INFO: Crocs Away Meet @ Northpointe

    FIRST AWAY MEET THIS WEEKEND

We have our first away meet this weekend against the Northpointe Shockwaves.  They are a new team in our division and we have never been to their pool so let’s show them what the friendly Croc spirit is all about!  Here’s the scoop for the pep rally and the meet…

    Friday

The pep rally kicks off at 6 pm.  We’ll have fun & games for the swimmers along with Candelari’s pizza, frozen treats and drinks for everyone!  Swimmers will also be able to get their event numbers for the meet.  Team & individual photos will be available for pick up.  Come get pumped up to SINK the Shockwaves!

    Saturday

    1. All swimmers must arrive and circle in by 7:30.   It is imperative that your swimmer gets circled in on time so they won’t be scratched from the meet.  Since we have never been to their facility, we are not certain where the circle-in boards will be so just keep an eye out for the Croc crowd likely near the age group tents.

    2. All swimmers must wear the new 2017 TEAM SUIT (not an old suit from previous years).

    3. Since we’ve never been to their pool, we have no idea what type of concessions they will have so please plan accordingly.

    4. Make sure you and your swimmer(s) stay hydrated and have plenty of sunscreen!

    5. They have a lot going on with regard to parking, navigating & setup around the pool so please read the information below that they provided to us:

POOL ADDRESS 12655 Northpointe Boulevard, Tomball

    PARKING

Three (3) weeks ago the county installed and activated a NEW stoplight at the intersection where our pool is located (Northpointe Blvd. and Northpointe Terrace).

We have had MANY problems with the constables/HOA/residents since this occurred (particularly regarding parking along Northpointe Blvd.), though we believe we have an agreement in place going forward.  We will have an off-duty Constable at our drop-off location/parking lot for the duration of the meet.

We ask that all attendees be patient with situation, compliant with any direction given by law enforcement, and/or promptly respond to any directions announced over the PA system.

    PARKING GUIDANCE

No parking on Northpointe Terrace (signs will be up to show DROP-OFF and NO PARKING Zones).  No Parking on residential streets.  HOA does not allow parking within the neighborhood streets (again signs  NO PARKING).  We close our parking lot for tent set-up... there will not be any onsite parking for officials, coaches or parents (Constable and cones).  Parking is allowed on Northpointe Blvd. (East of the Northpointe Blvd. and Northpointe Terrace).  One lane in each direction, but not within ~200 feet of intersection.  No Parking on Northpointe Blvd  (WEST of the Northpointe Blvd. and Northpointe Terrace) on streets, medians or grass.

We encourage people to park at Canyon Pointe Elementary!  Please use the drop-off lane for children, gear and grandparents... and then follow the volunteers/signs to Canyon Pointe Elementary.  The walk is not too far and there are sidewalks.

    TENT SET UP

Families are encouraged to bring their own tents and set-up in the grass/forest area between the pool and the intersection.  There is plenty of grass (flat real estate) on the far side of the playground (AND actually closer to Canyon Pointe Elementary) for age group tents and family set-up.

That should be everything you need to know!  If you have any questions, check with a returning team member or board member at the pep rally tomorrow.  It’s going to be a great meet!  Let’s SINK the SHOCKWAVES!
