    Swimming Related Family Activities

    Crocs:

    There are a couple of fun, swimming-related activities coming up in our area that Crocs parents have asked us to make you aware of.  If you are interested, please contact the sponsoring entities, as the Crocs are not officially involved in either.  Have fun!!!

    SwimJitsu:

    SwimJitsu is basically an obstacle course in the pool - think kids level American Ninja Warriers, pool version...  Fleet is hosting SwimJitsu at their facility on Spring-Cypress on September 17-18.  For more info, see the attached flyer, or go to www.swimjitsu.com.  You DO NOT have to be a Fleet swimmer to participate, but you must register at the swimjitsu website.  If you have questions, contact Fleet.

    Movie:

    There is a scheduled screening of the new documentary, “The Last Gold: The Greatest Untold Story in the History of Olympic Swimming,” about the 1976 US women’s team competing against the East Germans.  It will be shown in Katy on July 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Alamo Draft House, Mason Park. 

    Tickets are $12 and can be purchased on this site.  There is also a movie trailer so you can see a preview of the documentary.
