    Crocs Weekend Update

    Crocs:

    Rain, rain, go away.........

    Pep Rally:

Today at 6:00, weather permitting, we'll get together at the pool as we get ready to take on our neighbors from across 290, the Stonegators!  Crocs vs Gators!!  As usual, we'll have swimming, games, pizza, and fun, and the swimmers will hear from the coaches to get ready for the meet.

If the weather goes south, we'll try and make any decisions regarding cancelation and send an email as soon as possible - probably around mid-afternoon.

    Swim Meet:

Tomorrow, we'll have our last home meet of the season!  Crocs warm-up will begin at 7:00, and your swimmers must be circled in by 7:30, or they will be scratched from the meet.  Please circle in on both the boys/girls board and the relay board (if your swimmer is on a relay).  We will be recognizing our graduating Seniors tomorrow before the meet starts.

The swim meet will continue in the case of rain.  If there is lightning, thunder, or other severe weather, the meet will be paused until the danger passes.  If there is any change, we will notify you via email as soon as any decision is made.

Due to the weather and mud, we'll be using the same set up plan as last time - the parking lot will be closed to traffic for safety.  The area past the hill beyond the shallow end of the pool will be closed to setup due to mud.  Equipment drop off will be at the end of the driveway - please be considerate of the volunteers at the entrance; they are not the ones making the decision to block off the parking lot - they're just doing the job the team asks of them.

Please take a moment to check out the new parking map under Documents on the website.  Please follow parking laws and rules.  We have had at least one parked car hit due to people parking on both sides of Coles Crossing Drive where the road narrows.

Unfortunately, once in a while I have to mention swimmer behavior.  In between their times in the pool, parents are responsible for supervising their children.  At the last meet, we had several swimmers splashing each other with water filled swim caps and water guns.  That would be ok, except they also hit some innocent bystanders, including some elderly folks and a mom with a baby.  Please make sure your kids take this type of play outside the fence or, at least somewhere there aren't people who aren't wearing swim suits.

    Summer Thunder:

Summer Thunder is Sunday afternoon and Monday evening.  There is meet information available by clicking on Swim Meets, then on the Meet Info link next to Summer Thunder.  I'll send a separate email with additional information regarding this meet.

As always, if you have questions, please email or ask a coach or a veteran parent.

    Go Crocs!!!!!
