Crocs This Week
Congratulations to the Swimmers and Coaches for swimming a great meet on Saturday! There were a lot of great performances, and a lot of time dropped. Unfortunately this time, it looks like we came up a little short overall. The score is not completely official yet - it is still under review and may change slightly, but it looks like Wortham came up with the win in a very close and competitive meet.
By the way, in case you don't know, we did win the first meet against Lakes on Eldridge by a score of 852-534. Congratualtions on that victory!
The swimmer sign up window for this week's meet at Fairfield is now open. As always, the deadline to sign up your swimmers is midnight Tuesday night, so hurry to your computers and git 'er done!
Please remember to double check after you have registered your swimmer(s) and make sure it was successful. We've had several people in the last two weeks think they were signed up, but they were not. The most common cause of this problem is that the parent forgot to hit save after registering their swimmer. Please note that, if you're registering more than one swimmer, you must hit save after each one.
To double check right after you've registered, please click on the Meet Entry icon again, as if you were going to register your swimmer over again. When you select your swimmer from the dropdown box this second time through, you should see a list of events in which they are entered. If not, THEY ARE NOT ENTERED IN THE MEET. PLEASE TRY AGAIN.
Starting Wednesday morning, when you click the same swimmer icon, you will be see the Meet Entry report. Please check this report on Wednesday and email us immediately if your swimmer is missing. If they are not on the report Wednesday morning, THEY ARE NOT ENTERED IN THE MEET. The sooner you notify the team, the more likely we can fix it. Wednesday we can usually still fix the problem. Thursday is very iffy, and Friday is too late.
Please note that if you email the coaches and get no reply, your email may have gone into CFISD's spam filter. To get around this issue, we have set up a new email address for use if there are problems with entries. You are welcome to email [email protected] and someone will get back with you as quickly as we can.
Volunteers, I know it's hard to believe, but we are already at the halfway point of our regular season and have completed 3 of the 6 meets during which you need to work your 12 points of volunteer shifts. If you're not already at or near the halfway point, please sign up as soon as you can, and get some of those points out of the way! If you have volunteer questions, please email Giles at [email protected].
Go Crocs!
